Bridge building, and patient and relative empowerment
Programme 4 deals with bridge building and patient and relative empowerment. It will target people with arthritis and employees in municipalities who are not health professionals and therefore lack sufficient insight into what it is like to live with arthritis.
The focus of the programme will be to support people with arthritis in living as best they can with their chronic arthritis disease and to create new paths to knowledge and insight for the municipal staff who play a crucial role in providing services without having a great deal of knowledge about the disease. The programme will be a source of inspiration for the municipalities in their local health service provision for people with arthritis who need rehabilitation, help and support.
Knowledge should be provided in formats that are adapted to the municipalities’ organization and methods, and the programme should be able to motivate staff to apply the shared knowledge across sectors, and not only among departments within municipalities.
Finally, the programme will develop projects based on the best of digitization and telemedicine to enhance the dialogue between patient and healthcare professional.
